If you want to take better pictures, there are two things you can work on: your technical knowhow or your artistic skills. In my workshops I focus very little on the first and a lot on the latter. Because I think you can learn most technical aspects from a book, or in a classroom.
My masterclasses are not your average workshop. Together we travel to special and sometimes unknown destinations and places, we have no tight schedule and can spend hours or even a whole day without using a camera. The essence of all my workshops is contact. It is all about connection. With yourself and the people and the world around you. And this is more easily practiced abroad, away from the safety of the familiar world at home.
I want you to experience what it feels like to freely walk around in a new and unknown environment. Talking, bargaining and making fun on the local market or drinking a few beers in some shady bar; it may sound strange but I think this is the first step towards taking pictures that are more beautiful and more easily touch people.
My workshops are suitable for photographers of all levels. Bookers range from professionals who have been making a living out of photography for years to people who only use their iPhone to photograph. They all have one thing in common: they are open to a new experience and willing to step out of their comfort zone. Because they realise that this the best way to really grow.
