The ultimate photo workshop on board beautiful Stad Amsterdam
Sailing a square-rigged three-master along the most beautiful Caribbean islands and learning to photograph better along the way: just how nice does that sound? In January 2019 I will organize another photo workshop on board Clipper Stad Amsterdam.
A photo cruise aboard the Netherlands' most beautiful and fastest three-master is a blissful mix of luxurious lazing, fantastic food, sailing, adventurous daytrips, visiting fairy-tale-like places, superfine people and much more. Plus: working on your photographic skills in a fun, non-obligatory way and shooting fantastic images of the colorful life in the Caribbean.
The Stad Amsterdam sets sail on January 9th 2019 from Sint Maarten for a ten-day luxury sailing trip, passing little gems such as Saint Kitts, Montserrat and Dominica. I will provide a short workshop every morning on a specific topic (lighting, portraits, movement in your shots). After that you can put all that into practice, both on shore and on board. And we will have a look at the results every evening just before diner. The trip will end in Martinique on January the 18th.
This sailing and photo trip is certainly not just for advanced amateurs; anyone who likes to take photos is welcome to gain knowledge and experience in a casual way. And if you prefer to lie in a hammock with a coconut with a straw that's fine too. This is first of all a holiday! There is also plenty of opportunity to take a dip in the wonderful water of the Caribbean Sea (always 27 degrees!) Or just a few hours to laze.
Sailing experience is not required either; the ship is sailed by a professional crew. But if you like to help, you are more then welcome. And what could be better than just being at the helm of a beautiful sailing ship like the Stad Amsterdam? Seasickness is not an issue during this trip: the ship sails in general 'on one ear', distances are relatively short and we often sail in the shelter of islands.

Debarkation: Friday January 18, 2019 at 10.00 (am) in Forte de France, Martinique.
Price per person in a double cabin, full board: € 3.400,-
(In case you are traveling alone, you will be staying in a single cabin for which a surcharge of 50% applies)
